  • RUSSELL DEVENISH

    Project Director

    Edmonton

    Russell, known around here as Russ, is a family man with a great sense of humor and a deep dedication to the success of the company. The truly amazing part is that he is even more dedicated to the people who ARE his company. As founder and Director at Truspace, Russell finds himself involved in every aspect of the business, and he is constantly striving to create the best possible working environment for his staff. Russ may be young, but he knows a thing or two about leadership, and he is willing to get into the trenches of the the daily grind from Business Development to Sales to Operations. Russ empowers his team to make decisions and fosters a great working environment by living out the saying “if you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients” (R. Branson) on a daily basis. Russ’ favorite part of his job is getting to know new clients by finding out about their businesses and the sectors in which they operate. Outside of work, Russ likes spending time with ‘the Mrs’ and plotting his next big travelling adventure.

  • CHARLES ROBERTS

    Project Manager

    Charles, our Toronto-based Project Manager, brings over 20 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry to the Truspace team. Charles has his MRICS and LLM designations, and is also a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. Charles is skilled in contract administration, contract procurement, pre-construction negotiations, construction estimating and budgetary management, as well as MEP services.

    We should also mention that he also has a terrific sense of humor and can get along with just about anyone. Aside from being a friendly guy with contagious laugh and a strong handshake, Charles offers Truspace’s clients a wealth of knowledge in industrial, commercial, residential, institutional and marine projects. Pretty much there is nothing that Charles can’t handle and we are proud to have him on our team!

  • MEGAN BROWN

    Health and Safety Coordinator

    As the Health & Safety Administrator for Truspace, Megan ensures that all of our employees and sub-trades are kept safe on the job and comply with the most up to date Legislation. Megan takes pride in her passion for workplace safety and truly enjoys managing the Safety Program. Megan’s favorite thing about her job is knowing that she is a part of a safety-conscious workplace with creative staff that truly love their jobs and care about safety too.

    Outside of work you can find Megan with her husband, son, and chocolate lab going on family adventures to the mountains. She enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and enjoying the sunset after a long day.

  • JASON PARKER

    Site Manager

    Jason Parker, an import from New Brunswick, is an expert finishing carpenter and wood worker. This man can turn just about anything he finds into a beautiful piece of art, and his work can be seen at many of Truspace’s projects. Jason’s woodworking wizardry and cheerful smile are a major asset to the Truspace team!

  • CHERYL COLLINS

    Project Coordinator

    Cheryl is a people person, which is every bit as important as her 20+ years of experience in mining, metals, oil & gas, and major construction all over Canada. As part of the Truspace Team, Cheryl has held the role of both Project Specialist and Construction Project Manager. It’s a good thing that Cheryl can multitask like a pro, as she has been responsible for the procurement of all trades and materials on a wide range of projects across Canada and has managed construction projects spanning 3,000 to 40,000 square feet from the ground up.  Cheryl has a way with clients; they feel comfortable talking with her and her laugh is infectious. She always reaches out to anyone who needs help, and she will jump in and roll up her sleeves to help out when there is something to be done, no matter how big or small the task may be. Cheryl’s personality, combined with her knowledge of construction and never failing pursuit for the best, allows her to score the best subcontractors and materials for the job – all while smiling, and keeping the client’s needs and wants in check! When she is off the clock, Cheryl likes to spend her moments with her family, of course spoiling her grandchildren, and bowling!

  • KYLE LOGAN

    Project Consultant

    Kyle has been in the construction industry for over 10 years and has developed a well-rounded understanding of building systems, project control, and commercial interior spaces. As a key player on the Truspace Team, Kyle’s technical knowledge in these areas adds critical value to the team when taking on building renovations, modifications, or complete new builds and his ability to liaise and communicate with the Client, Designers, Engineers, Architects, and Truspace team ensures seamless project flow from beginning to end. Cost analysis and control are one of Kyle’s key attributes through the design and build phase of projects. Ensuring Engineers and Sub-trades accurately interpret what the client wants and have designed is critical to a successful project.

  • SUSANNE DESBROW

    Interior Designer

    Susanne, or Susie as she is known by the the rest of us, is a part of the Interior Design team here at Truspace. Susie hails from the UK where she graduated from the University of Sussex with an honors BA in Interior Design. As an interior design professional with over ten years experience specializing in commercial & Residential Interior Design, Susie is one of the favorites around here – maybe it’s her charming British accent, maybe it’s because she is fiesty and funny, but either way she is a firm believer of lifelong learning. She is passionate about sustainable design and is an Alberta Chapter member of CaGBC. Susie is creative and tenacious, and she is constantly researching contemporary trends and keeping up to date with new codes, standards, and products. Outside of work, Susie is a skilled artist and a fantastic Mom to two boys who keep her busy with sports and adventures of all kinds.

  • DAHIR AW-DAHIR

    Business Development Manager

    As the Business Development Manager for Truspace, Dahir introduces CEOs, Executives and Entrepreneurs to the dynamic methodology of TruSpace. Dahir has been involved in the initial launch of Truspace, and he strongly believes in, and expresses, the core values of our company. Dahir has a strong passion for continuous improvement, both personally and professionally, and in his spare time he is deeply involved in working with nonprofits to assist underprivileged communities. Dahir is also an avid sports enthusiast, who enjoys live sports events and outdoor competitions. He is not afraid to flex his sports encyclopedia when it comes to historical NBA trivia.

  • JENNY WANNAS

    Business Development

    Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver

    Jenny comes from a background in educational policy and psychology. She has four years experience working in market research. Jenny has been with the Truspace Business Development team since May 2017. Her passion about promoting Truspace’s mandate has been proven through her attainment of hot leads which have turned into sales. Jenny loves travelling, watching hockey, and taking brisk walks in the chilly Alberta winters and beautiful summers.

  • JEFF PARKER

    Site Manager

    Jeff Parker brings his “A” game to the Truspace team every single day. Jeff does flooring, carpentry, framing, and ceiling tile installation and works on several of the projects in Alberta. Jeff brought his solid work ethic and sense of humor all the way from New Brunswick and we are lucky to have him on our team!

  • KATHRYN THOMSON

    Interior Design Manager

    Kathryn is an experienced Interior Design professional with a great sense of humor and serious eye for detail. In her role at Truspace, Kathryn oversees the Interior Design Team, but also acts as a client liaison, handles project start-up, coordinates Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, reviews building codes, and manages cost controls and scheduling – just to name a few of her responsibilities. Kathryn’s keen sense of design also influences her impeccable personal style. In her free time Kathryn enjoys spending time with friends and family, and volunteers her time at Making Changes, a local organization dedicated to empowering local women. To escape the hustle and bustle of city life, Kathryn likes to cruise on her Suzuki 800 motorcycle, and she and her husband often escape to their cabin in Millarville.

  • BRYSON KUZEK

    Site Manager

    Bryson is one of Truspace’s Construction Managers, and he is very passionate about his work. Bryson is natural leader; some have referred to him as being “bossy”, however, we know that if there are two things you can always expect from Bryson, it’s a great sense of humor, and that the job will always well done well. Bryson married his highschool sweetheart and they have three kids. Outside of work and family, it would be fair to say that Bryson’s deepest passion is hockey. Even though he works out of the Calgary office he is an avid Oilers fan, however, we suspect that is only because he also enjoys causing trouble.  

  • SETH DEVENISH

    Project Consultant

    Seth Devenish is the Project Consultant for Edmonton and he is always ready to help clients with their requirements. Seth is motivated by results, and he most enjoys meeting with clients to go over their vision and help them realize their ideas for a fantastic office space. Seth has a great sense of humor and he perhaps is best known as an avid hockey fan – he is always ready to defend his beloved Oilers against any who may be critical of them. Overzealous fans of competing teams beware! He enjoys swimming and boating in the summer months, and snowboarding and playing hockey in the winter months.

  • FRANCOIS LEMIEUX

    Senior Interior Designer

    Francois is a bilingual senior interior design professional with over 17 years experience and a fantastic sense of humor. Francois specializes in corporate office design and his creative passion, design expertise, and business acumen have led him to participate or lead several complex design projects throughout Ontario & Quebec. Francois brings a strong knowledge of codes, industry best practices, and can provide insight and technical guidance on current trends and design standards. Innovation, creative passion, design expertise, and business acumen have enabled Francois to participate and lead in numerous complex organizational, real estate, and interior design projects throughout Ontario & Quebec. His experience involves working closely with the client and sub-contractors to complete each project on schedule, meet budget, and exceed expectations.

  • RONNIE HAUGHTON

    Business Development

    Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver

    Ronnie Haughton is Business Development professional at Truspace, and brings a strong understanding of project management and project controls to the team. Ronnie has a deep familiarity of the construction business – he started his career on construction sites at the age of 8 years old, passing tools to his father in a scissor lift. He is motivated by success and he truly enjoys helping those around him to achieve their goals and to keep pushing to be better. Ronnie also has a great sense of humor. He believes in a positive outlook and loves a good clean joke. One other thing to know about Ronnie is that he speaks English, but “proper” English, as he calls it, because he was born in northern UK before donning the Maple Leaf and moving to the great country of Canada. Ronnie is quick to inform anyone who asks that although he has “not turned into a lumberjack, or a fur trader, and  definitely does not live in an igloo, he is still 99% Canadian!”

  • FRANK MARTINEZ

    For the past 20 years Frank Martinez has acquired extensive experience in Project Management and Project controls on a variety of industrial and commercial construction projects. Frank brings significant experience on complex projects requiring collaborative team efforts encompassing planning, scheduling, project controls, construction,  and commissioning to the Truspace team. Frank’s experience ranges from complex industrial projects to commercial type buildings and interior renovations where the coordination of sub trades / supplier, the communication with the client and consultant, and the implementation of project control systems have been key to the success of the projects. Frank understands the meaning of client satisfaction and is fully committed to safety and quality without compromising the profitability of the projects. He is also a pleasure to work with and Truspace is very happy to have Frank on the team!

  • BEN DEVENISH

    National Commercial Real Estate, Landlord & Client Relations

    With over five years of experience in the commercial Design and Construction industry, Ben is a pro at networking in commercial realtors and Landlord circles on a national level within Canada. Outside of work Ben is an active outdoors guy. He likes to spend his time with his family, has a great sense of humor, and enjoys nature, music, cooking, and working out as well as a variety of sports.

  • LOREN CLIPPINGDALE

    Project Coordinator

    Loren has worked in the Canadian construction industry for his entire career. Not only is Loren responsible for the procurement of all trades and materials for Truspace projects, which range from 1,000 to 50,000 square feet, but he does it with incredible style. Loren unquestionably has the best shoes in the office, and the office rumor is that his footwear is actually his secret superpower, allowing him to manage the coordination of project tasks, schedules, documentation, and finances like a boss. Loren is easy to work with and has a great sense of humor. His ability to negotiate a good price and his commitment to staying organized and on top of his game allows Loren to help the team to secure the perfect contract for the client. When wearing his casual kicks, Loren enjoys hanging out with his friends and family and travelling.

  • MERLIN BOND

    Site Manager

    Calgary, Edmonton

    Having worked in Commercial construction since he was a child, Merlin brings an incredible amount of experience to the table, and he enjoys his role as Construction Manager for the Truspace team. Merlin has a heart of gold, and enjoys interacting with all trades, designers, and clients. He strongly believes that taking a team approach to any project produces fantastic results for all and he demonstrates that in all of his dealings. When able to take a break from work, Merlin enjoys time with his family, travelling, and enjoying creation in a scenic spot.

  • CARA HENRY

    Marketing Manager

    Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver

    Cara is a big-picture thinker who loves to ask questions. Her career in Marketing, Communications and Media Design began in 2005 after completing her post-secondary studies and her experience in the field spans a number of industries in both the private and public sectors. Cara has a reputation for shaking things up, challenging the status quo, and positively influencing corporate culture with a healthy dose of fun. Her curious yet thoughtful approach has opened doors for her to expand her scope of experience to include senior level management, managing team performance, and optimizing organizational processes. Cara is a natural community builder and she volunteers her time to number of organizations such as the Rare Disease Foundation, The Calgary Mental Health Association and her local church group. Cara loves to explore. She has travelled as far north as Iceland and as far south as Australia, and she regularly escapes to the great Canadian wilderness. She is also an avid Yoga enthusiast, and when she is not working or globetrotting you will probably find her in the backcountry, at the gym, or having fun with her family and friends.  

  • CHANTEL FYVIE

    Chantel is a well versed interior designer with over ten years of experience working on a wide variety of projects from professional services firms and healthcare to sports and entertainment, ranging from 1,000 SF to 80,000 SF. Technically savvy and detailed oriented, Chantel understands the impact of effective mechanical and electrical coordination to ensure the project is successful. Working out of Truspace’s Toronto office, Chantel appreciates that each project is unique and thrives on the challenge. She brings some serious skills to the Truspace team and she can efficiently manage projects including design development, contract documents, furniture procurement, and construction administration. Chantel is a strong leader who truly understands the importance of practical schedules and budgets that reflect our client’s goals, and ensures that she explores designs that align to their guidelines. On site, Chantel is focused on closely monitoring construction progress, quality performance and seeing the architectural detailing come to life.

    Walter Webber brings a wealth of experience to the Truspace team. As one of our valued Construction Managers, working out of the Toronto market, Walter ensures that the work done onsite is of the highest quality and, like all Construction Managers at Truspace, the safety of everyone onsite is his foremost concern. Walter is a dedicated team member and an all-around fantastic guy.

  • ROBIN MILAKOVICH

    Site Manager

    As a Construction Manager at Truspace, Robin works out of the Vancouver market. Robin comes from a solid construction background with over a decade of experience in the industry. Robin is a motorcycle enthusiast with a hilarious sense of humor. Outside the office, or should we say construction site, Robin enjoys travelling and spoiling his little niece.

  • MARK IANNI

    Commercial Real Estate, Landlord & Client Relations

    Born and raised in Toronto, Mark is a sports fan and a particularly strong supporter of the Raptors, which initially made us quite fond of him, until we found out he was also a Leafs fan. Alas, we can work on that… Mark came to Truspace with a strong background in, and a solid understanding of, the real estate market in Ontario. In his role with Real Estate Development at Truspace, Mark liaises with Real Estate Professionals who are looking to maximize the design and efficient use of commercial spaces. Mark  brings over 20 years of program management, business planning, and policy development spanning a number of industries to his role with the Truspace team and, of course, he is also a sharp dresser.

  • ROMAN BANTON

    Site Manager

    Working out of Edmonton, Roman is a Licensed Contractor who brings over 10 years of experience in the industry as a successful business owner, General Contractor, and Site Superintendent. Overall, Roman has over 20 years of management experience and he has enough hours to achieve journeyman status as a Carpenter and CET. Long story short, Roman knows the construction business inside and out, and safety is his utmost priority. In addition to his copious amount of construction expertise, Roman is one of the all-around best guys we know – that’s why we hired him!

  • LYNETTE WONG

    Executive Assistant

    Lynette has worked for over twelve years in the Oil & Gas Industry, but has always been curious about the world beyond that bubble. Lynette brings a great sense of humor and a tremendous amount of patience to the Truspace team. As the Executive Assistant to the Project Director, Lynette is a busy gal and is involved with pretty much everything. Lynette is humbled and excited to be gaining ‘outside’ world experience at Truspace and she mixes well with the team, is very easy to talk with, and extremely patient so feel free to be yourself around her. Her favourite philosophy when stress comes hammering down is “Hakuna Matata” from of Disney’s The Lion King.

  • JON MEADE

    West Coast Design Director

    As a designer from the UK, Jon has been involved in shaping award winning interiors with London’s design houses within the commercial, retail, automotive, exhibition, and hospitality sectors on projects across the world. His sense for composition comes from his architectural and photographic backgrounds as well as being heavily influenced by different periods of art history and film. Jon firmly believes in the collaborative process of design where client and designer come together to create unique experientially-driven places that engage, excite, and inspire and are specific to each brief. Currently, Jon resides in Vancouver, B.C. with his wife and daughter, where his creative genius is inspired and his standards for cuisine and culture are satisfied.
